Music in the Loop came to life when co-founders Pasquale Laurino and Paul Ghica began playing together at the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago.  As an increasing number of patrons would ask for the musicians' information for private events, Mr. Laurino and Mr. Ghica recognized that there was a void that needed to be filled.  Among the many competing music contractors in the city, the most discerning clients were looking for something more: Pure, uncompromised music of the absolute highest quality.

As Music in the Loop began to expand, so did its musician base.  From the vast network that Mr. Laurino and Mr. Ghica had built over the years, they were free to choose only the most accomplished musicians to form the core of the organization.  Today, Music in the Loop features dozens of the city's top classical and jazz musicians.  No musician with whom the founders are unfamiliar is ever invited to represent Music in the Loop.  Mr. Laurino and Mr. Ghica have a close working relationship with each and every musician chosen.

Offering over 30 years of combined experience, the founders of Music in the Loop have, themselves, been serenading audiences throughout Chicago's most recognized venues.  Employing musicians everywhere from the Civic Orchestra of Chicago to the Milwaukee Ballet, Music in the Loop is the city's finest and most versatile event music group.
