Frequently Asked Questions

What are Music in the Loop's prices?

Our base prices start at $115 per hour, per musician, with a two hour minimum.  For example, a string trio, in downtown for an hour or two, would cost a total of $690.

There are numerous factors that will affect pricing, such as the quality of musicians you request (Chicago Symphony vs. conservatory students), the location of your event, and any offers or discounts you use.

We will gladly meet with you to discuss the specifics of your event.  We will then provide a quote custom tailored to your preferences.  The consultation is complimentary and carries no obligation.  Contact us to schedule a meeting that accommodates your schedule.

Does Music in the Loop offer any discounts?

Yes!  Book both Music in the Loop and Adelina Photography for the same event, and receive 10% off both vendors!

Can Music in the Loop play my favorite song?

When we say "custom tailored", we mean it.  Music in the Loop can arrange any music you wish to have played at your event.  Please discuss specific requests during your consultation.

Who are your musicians?

The musicians chosen to represent Music in the Loop come from local orchestras, opera houses, ballets, and conservatories.  If you have specific musicians within our network already in mind, you may also feel free to request them.  We will always personally handle your event, so you will always be talking to the same person, familiar with all of your preferences.

Do the musicians take breaks, or can we have continuous music?

Breaks can be personalized to best suit your particular needs.  Usually, musicians cannot play for more than a few hours without taking some kind of pause.  If you require nonstop music, as is often requested during receptions, this can be accomplished in a number of ways.  Musicians may time their breaks to coincide with a toast or announcement, or they may stagger breaks, where a couple of musicians take a quick breather while the others continue.

Do you just play classical music?

Music in the Loop offers many styles of music, not just classical.  Please listen to the different styles of music we can offer.  If you would like even more variety than what we currently have available for online listening, please let us know.  We can accommodate almost any request.
